Warming Chaga Latte

Creamy and refreshing Chaga latte

Chaga, or black ram, has been considered a powerful medicinal mushroom, rich in nutrients and healing properties. Several scientific studies confirm this – for example, bioactive compounds extracted from black rams, such as betulin, betulinic acid and inotodinol, have been found to inhibit the development of cancer cells.

This time, we’re sharing with you a warming Chaga Latte recipe that’s perfect for those cool autumn evenings, and will help to refresh both your body and soul!

Quantity: for one
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Severity: light
It will take:

  • 2 tsp Chaga powder
  • 125ml hot water
  • 125ml plant milk (skim coconut milk or almond milk)
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup or raw honey
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • blenderite

How to make a chaga latte?

Mix the Chaga powder with the cinnamon and water in a small pot or saucepan and bring to the boil. Then pour the mixture into a blender, add the sweetener and process until smooth (about 1 minute). Then strain the drink through a tea strainer and pour into a cup of your choice. Next, whisk the milk. For example, a container with a watertight lid works well for whipping milk. To do this, simply pour the milk (cold milk foams better) into the container and shake until the milk has foamed sufficiently. Add the skimmed milk to the cup of chaga as well. You can sprinkle a little cinnamon on top if you like. Enjoy!
