Carrot cake porridge in the oven
Carrot cake in porridge? Is it really healthy? Yes! This carrot cake-scented delicious porridge is a real surprise! Carrots add even more nutritional value, texture and sweetness to the porridge. The banana helps the poodle hold together nicely and also adds a nice sweet touch! The oatmeal makes sure your belly stays full and the walnuts add a crunchy texture. It will take:
- 80g gluten-free oat flakes
- 180ml of herbal milk (such as unsweetened almond milk) or water
- 1 small grated carrot (about 50g)
- ½ larger mashed banana or 1 smaller one
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt (to balance the flavours)
- 2g soda
- small handful of raisins (optional)
- small handful of walnuts (optional)
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
How to make a stew?
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In a bowl, while the oven is heating, mix together the oatmeal, vegetable milk or water, mashed banana, grated carrot and seasonings. Add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup if desired. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish of your choice, top with a few walnuts and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. If you like, drizzle a little more maple syrup on top before eating and enjoy!
