Gluten-free “Mac & cheese” in a wholefood twist

To prepare you need:
- 340 g of a delicious gluten-free pasta
- 5 small potatoes (or 2 large)
- 1 medium-sized carrot
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ cup (125 ml) of water or vegetable broth
- ground pepper
How to prepare a gluten-free “Mac and cheese”?
First, cook the pasta. Turn and set aside. Then place the washed, peeled and chopped carrots and potatoes in a steamer. Steam 10-15 moules until the vegetables are soft.
Place the steamed carrots and potatoes in a blender and add the lemon juice, water or stock and all the seasonings.
Press until a silky texture is achieved. As a final step, pour the sauce into a large saucepan or pot and add the previously cooked pasta. Stir well and heat for 3-5 minutes over medium heat. Serve and enjoy immediately.
