Quantity: approx. 350g sauce
Preparation time: 25-30 minutes
Severity: light
To prepare you need:
- 300g cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 orange peel and juice
- 80g maple syrup (more if needed)
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- a smaller pot, saucepan or saucepan
How to make cranberry sauce?
Place the cranberries in a saucepan with the orange juice and grated zest and sprinkle in the spices (cinnamon sticks, maple syrup and ground cloves). Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer over a low heat for a further 15-20 minutes until the cranberries start to break up and form a jam-like sauce. When the right texture is achieved, remove the sauce from the heat and pour into a bowl to cool. Serve with anything you like. The sauce will keep nicely in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
