How to use?
Green lentils are perfect as a side dish and are delicious in salads, soups, and stews. Cooking green lentils with vegetables and herbs makes a flavorful stew or soup. For added creaminess, you can use coconut milk or coconut cream, and your warm, rich meal is ready!
Green lentils can also be used to make vegetable patties by blending cooked lentils with various vegetables and spices. Onion and garlic powder add distinct flavor to the patties, while turmeric, cardamom, and cinnamon highlight an Asian flavor profile.
Lentils are also an excellent ingredient for dips and spreads. Add spices, herbs, and vegetables like carrots and garlic to cooked lentils, then blend for a healthy and flavorful dip!
Cooked lentils are also perfect for adding flavor to salads. For a healthy salad, combine lentils with tomatoes, sprouts, dried fruits, berries, and fresh herbs, and add a touch of olive oil.
Preparation
Cooking time: 25-30 minutes. Use 1 part lentils to 2 parts water. Rinse before use; no need to soak.
