RED KIDNEY BEANS ARE RICH IN FIBRE
Kidney beans, or nero beans, are rich in fibre and protein and are suitable for salads, stews and soups. Thanks to their mild flavour, they are also ideal for balancing flavours in spicy dishes.
HOW TO PREPARE KIDNEY BEANS?
Rinse the beans and soak them in plenty of water for at least 10 hours. Then boil them for 10 minutes, then drain. Add the new water and simmer for about an hour. You can flavour the cooking water, but don’t add salt, as it will make the skin of the beans hard. Allow the beans to cool in boiling water before draining.
