Canadian Maple Syrup Maple Farm AMBER (Grade A/Class “A”) in a large 1L package.

Maple syrup is a perfect companion for all sweet tooths. It is significantly healthier than conventional refined sugar, offering a sweet, pleasant, and caramel-like flavor.

Maple syrup is produced by evaporating water from maple sap. The sap used to make maple syrup primarily comes from three types of maples: the sugar maple, black maple, and red maple. Norway maple, which grows naturally in Estonia, is generally unsuitable for syrup production.

It may sound unbelievable that maple syrup is not just a good sweetener, but also has healing properties, even suitable for diabetes. Maple syrup provides the body and the liver with essential fuel – energy derived from glucose, which the body needs to function properly. Unlike refined sugar, maple syrup glucose is easily absorbed and beneficial to the body. In addition, maple syrup helps mineralize the blood and brain, supporting and strengthening both the brain and nervous system.

Important information when choosing maple syrup

  1. When you choose maple syrup, please be sure to check the list of ingredients. There must be only one ingredient , 100% maple syrup. Many maple syrup-based blends on the market also contain other, cheaper sugars. All maple syrups in our online shop are 100% pure and contain only one ingredient.
  2. The maple syrup market, much like the olive oil market, can sometimes attract fraudsters. Just as olive oil is blended with cheaper industrial oils (such as rapeseed oil), maple syrup may be blended with cheaper sugars and glucose syrup, but the other ingredients are omitted from the packaging. A mixture of maple syrup and sugar syrup is sold over pure maple syrup.
  3. In the flavor and quality of maple syrup, as with wines, the entire production process plays a significant role—such as the forest from which the syrup is harvested, the timing of the harvest (which is crucial), the subsequent processing, and the drying method. The quality and taste of maple syrup depend on these and many other aspects. Even between batches, the taste can be noticeably different.
