Grilled zucchini with herbs

Who said you have to grill meat only?! Vegetables, especially zucchini, make excellent companions for dark barbecue evenings with family or friends. Head into the summer in a healthy way and grab the herb zucchini slices for the next barbecue evening – a good and easy filling of the stomach is guaranteed! However, if you are not a grill lover, you can safely put the pumpkin slices in the oven. 

Quantity: for 3-4 vegetable lovers 
Preparation time: 25 minutes 
Difficulty level: easy 

You will need: 

  • 2 smaller zucchini (about 500 g) 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional) 
  • 1 tsp dried basil 
  • 1 tsp dried oregano 
  • ? tsp garlic powder 
  • ? tsp onion powder 
  • ? tsp sea salt 

How to make grilled zucchini? 

First heat the grill. Then get the zucchini ready. To do this, wash and slice the pumpkin into 0.5-1 cm thick slices, brush with olive oil and season with herbs and salt. Place the seasoned slices on the hot grill and bake for 3-4 minutes on both sides. Serve with whatever you like. PS. If you want to bring zucchini slices along to the barbecue party, you can prepare them at home and pack them in a box. To do this, mix the seasonings with olive oil in a bowl, brush the slices with the seasoning mixture and store in a box or glass container with a lid to “marinate”. If you want to enjoy zucchini without any fat, just leave out the oil and simply massage the pumpkin slices with herbs and salt before placing them on the grill.
