Honey from 100+ Estonian plants – what are the benefits?
- Beehives are located in the middle of a diverse natural environment. Near the hives are large swamps, forests and meadows.
- Honey with 100+ plant extracts is pure and organic – it is not filtered. This means that a man will have both the spleen and other healing qualities. Many honeys on the supermarket shelves, especially cheap foreign honeys, generally undergo a filtration process that removes beneficial pollen from the honey, among other aspects, and drastically reduces the honey’s healing properties.
- Unprocessed honey or raw honey: not artificially treated or heated above 38°C.
The amazing bees in our lives
- Bees provide up to 50% of our food. 30-50% of our diet depends on bees. Without bee pollination, our diet would not be nearly as varied and healing.
- Bees stabilise the ecosystem: Bees help to increase biodiversity and thereby reduce soil erosion and species loss.
- Honey is an unrivalled sweetener and a wonderful medicine in one.
It takes:
- 550 bees 2-3 weeks of work.
- In total, over 2 million flowers are visited by bees during this period.
- 88 514 km will be flown.
Honey with the power of 100+ Estonian plants is an organic honey harvested from the swamps and forests of Central Estonia. This means that within a 3km radius of the enclosures there are only marshes, forests and wild grasslands. No intensive farming or other poisonous areas. In addition, the honey is harvested in areas with a high natural diversity. This means that instead of the traditional 10 to 15 flowering plants, bees have 100+ different plants on their diet. Laboratory tests have shown that the power of as many as 150 different flowering plants can end up in a single jar of honey.
Crystallises as the raw water stands
Unfiltered Nordic raw water solidifies. Depending on temperature and composition, honey usually takes 2-6 weeks to crystallise. If your honey solidifies, you can re-melt it by putting it on a warm stove for a day, for example.

Many nutritionists estimate that everyone should eat at least 5kg of honey a year. In Estonia, the annual per capita consumption of honey is about 1.15kg, while the European average is about 1.3kg.
