Nut-free vegan snickers
Vegan snickers- dates with maple cream
If you’re a fan of snickers or just a big sweet tooth, then this recipe is for you: soft dumplings filled with maple cream, or nut-free vegan snickers. That’s right, you read that right – a snickers treat that doesn’t contain a gram of fat, nuts or otherwise. Of course, it’s also wholemeal and gluten-free, so you can enjoy it to your heart’s content even if you’re vegetarian or prefer to avoid gluten. It’s an addictively good treat, but in most cases, just 1 or 2 mouthfuls are enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, because it really is sweet! They’ve been a big hit among our friends, so we dare say you’ll be hooked too! 😉
2-component nut-free vegan snickers
Servings: 12
Preparation time: 15 minutes + setting time.
Difficulty: Easy
Preparation time: 15 min:
- 12 soft dates (you can use more or less)
- about 12 teaspoons of maple cream (you can use more or less)
How to make dates with maple cream?
First, remove the stone from the dates (if you are using dates with stones). Then place about 1 teaspoon of maple cream inside each date. Place the dates in a freezer-proof dish or tray and place in the freezer for a few hours (up to overnight) to set and enjoy! Store the dates in an airtight container in the freezer.
N.B. Be sure to use soft dates!
