Quantity: approx 600g sauce
Preparation time: 35 minutes
Difficulty: easy
To prepare you need:
- 6-8 apples (about 800g apples, peeled or unpeeled, depending on your preference).
- 1-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 200 ml water
- raw horseradish/maple syrup (to sweeten to taste)
How to make apple sauce?
Peel and chop the apples and add the apple cubes to the pot. Add the cinnamon and cook for a few minutes. Then add the water and simmer over medium heat until the apples are soft. When the apples are cooked, turn off the heat, pour the mixture into a blender or food processor and blitz until creamy. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, you can also add maple syrup or raw honey. Store the applesauce in an airtight container in the fridge.
