Organic Peppermint Tea
Mint tea is a refreshing classic tea, loved for its clean taste and invigorating effects. This aromatic blend offers natural freshness and lightness, helping to balance both body and mind. This tea combines the best characteristics of different mint varieties – the soft sweetness of Moroccan Mint, the deep menthol power and long aftertaste of Black Peppermint, and the brightness and slightly sharp note of Curly Mint. This combination of flavours creates a balanced and enjoyable tea experience.
Eerik’s Island’s Organic Peppermint Tea is made from plants grown with special care in the untouched wilderness on the edge of the Alam-Pedja nature reserve. This tea brings an authentic freshness and a touch of pure nature to every day. Although there are more than 25 species in the mint family, peppermint is the most widely used.
Fun Fact: Mint and peppermint have been in use for thousands of years and were highly valued in ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. In ancient times, mint was used not only for drinking, but also to give rooms a pleasant scent and even to greet guests – the smell of fresh mint symbolising purity and hospitality. In Greek mythology, mint is associated with the nymph Minthe, who, according to legend, became a mint plant. Hence the plant’s Latin name Mentha. Throughout the centuries, mint has been valued for its refreshing properties and pleasant aroma, and remains one of the world’s most beloved medicinal and aromatic herbs.
